The app is lagging or the data visualizations go off screen as I record
If you are experiencing lagging or the data visualizations going off screen while recording, it may be due to the following reasons:
- Browser or Device Performance: Real-time audio processing is resource intensive, especially if you have many tabs open or if your device is low on resources. Try closing unnecessary tabs or applications.
- Network Issues: If you are using a slow or unstable internet connection, it may delay how fast formant estimates are displayed, since they are calculated on the server and sent back to your browser.
Solutions
- Change settings: Try lowering the ‘Update frequency’ and ‘Algorithm quality’ in the pitch estimation settings. See the image below for guidance.
